What we do

Recursive Function is a software company based in Indianapolis, Indiana and was founded in January 2006.  We focus on building our own cool web applications, such as FormSpring and Ponyfish, and using that experience to build cool web applications for our happy clients.

Here's why we think we're the right people to build your web application:

  1. We're a small team: Development won't get bogged down by layers of bureaucracy and multiple levels of communication.  Your project manager is also going to be writing code, testing, and answering support questions.
  2. We're great at what we do: Developers have 10+ years experience in writing software for the web.  Even though we're always learning, it's fair to say that we've mastered various aspects of development and interface design for web applications.  But don't take our word for it -- take a look at what we've done, and ask us for some references.  
  3. We can relate: Sure we're geeks, but with experience as current & former business owners, we understand the entrepreneurial life and where you're coming from.

Here's why we might not be the right people:

  1. You're looking for a one-night stand: If you're looking for a few days worth of development on an existing application, we're probably not a good fit.  Most of our focus is on long-term projects, and we think we work best with the clients with whom we can maintain an ongoing relationship.
  2. You don't want your app coded in PHP:  This isn't a slam against our friends in Redmond, but we've chosen to specialize in web development with open source tools.  We wouldn't be able to master our craft if we developed in a dozen different languages and environments every day, and certainly aren't going to try to learn a new language on your dime.
  3. You hate puppies:  How can you hate puppies?  That's just not right.
